Absent Moon will feature 6 dance works, including the premiere of Winifred Haun’s acclaimed “Absent Moon” and 5 other works from Company repertory.
About Absent Moon, SeeChicagoDance said: “(the) choreography transcends the traditional boundaries of modern dance, merging elements of classical technique with avant-garde experimentation. Haun creates a sensory experience that is captivating.”
The program will also include audience favorite “Bento,” “The Fight To Be Found” by Imani English, “When the Rain Speaks” by WH&D Assistant Artistic Director Julia Schaeffer, “On My Body,” a solo created for Company Dancer Vernon Gooden by Darryl Clark, and Ms. Haun’s 2016 work “Your nearest exit may be behind you.”
